Leech

This plastic monster illustrates a severe problem consuming our world we need to reign in: waste.

Plastic bags have become commonplace in our society today; the average consumer will use approximately 500 of them a year. The majority of these bags are only used once and very few are recycled. They are used for less than an hour but remain for hundreds of years.

The kite’s exterior is constructed of over 70 different types of recovered plastic bags, with 1000+ stuffed inside.

With this kite I really want to shine a light on how unnecessary, and excessive, single use plastic is.
